SAPERE AUDE
SAPERE AUDE
BLOG INTRO
The most dangerous phrase in the English language is “We’ve always done it this way”. It is a phrase often used by ignorant people who do not want to do away with bad traditions in their workplaces.
SAPERE AUDE on the other hand is the powerful Latin phrase for “dare to know” or “dare to learn”. This phrase ultimately became the motto of an intellectual revolution where “reason” was preferred over “tradition”.
The purpose of this website is to start another “intellectual revolution” in the field of Occupational Health and Safety. Its aim is to provide OHS Practitioners with the necessary knowledge and skills to overcome bad “health & safety traditions” in their workplaces. “Knowledge” has the potential to empower people if applied correctly.
This is SAPERE AUDE with Andreo du Preez.
